A landslide has occurred at Lesiaceva Road at Korovesi in Savusavu cutting off access to residents there.
Resident Ronil Ritesh says the road is not accessible to vehicles at the moment.
The Fiji Roads Authority contractor is working to clear the landslide and debris along Lesiaceva Road in Savusavu which is currently closed to all light vehicles due to flooding.
Water levels have receded in the parts of Savusavu Town affected by flash flooding after heavy rain early this morning.
The area in front of Courts Fiji in Savusavu Town was affected by flooding.
Savusavu Town Council workers are currently working on clearing drains and debris.
It started raining heavily in Savusavu from 2 o'clock this morning. The rain has now stopped.
The Nadi Weather Office says the rain affecting parts of the Northern Division is being brought by a trough of low pressure that remains slow moving over the Northern division.
It is expected to affect parts of the Northern Division until the weekend.
