Some teachers of Lami High School say they and about 300 students are facing water disruptions due to low pressure however, the school says they do get proper water supply from the Water Authority of Fiji.
The teachers of the school who spoke to fijivillage News say they are without water supply for the past 3 days and are using water from tanks and buckets.
They also say there are only 2 buckets to provide water to students and they face toilet facility issues as well.
The school says due to the low pressure, some parts of the school are out of water, especially the upper front side.
The school says there are two buckets of water provided to the students and teachers in parts of the school where there is no supply.
It also says that due to a greater number of people residing in the area, low water pressure has been an issue for the past few years.
The school says they have installed water tanks to supply water and a separate tank is installed to provide water for the toilet facilities.
It also says that there are projects of installing more water tanks which will be done in the upcoming days.
Meanwhile, the Water Authority confirms that their team had carted water to the school earlier today and they will look into the matter.
We have also sent questions to the Ministry of Education. They are yet to respond.
