A 39-year-old self employed man of Lakena Hill 2 who was allegedly touching a women at the Nausori Health Centre yesterday morning has been charged and will be produced in court tomorrow.
He has been charged with one count of indecent assault.
The victim is a 24-year-old student.
Her father has told Legend FM News that the suspect allegedly started touching his daughter when she was asleep.
He says his daughter then woke up and started screaming which resulted in hospital staff catching the man.
Her father has also raised concerns regarding the security at the Centre and claims they were sleeping at the time of the incident.
When questioned, Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete had said that he has been briefed about the alleged incident and adds the security officers were helping out in the Emergency Department.
Dr Waqainabete says health centres can get busy especially after working hours and they are concerned about the allegations.
He adds the security services are outsourced but they have spoken to them.
