Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande win first award at the MTV VMA's

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande have won the first award at the VMA's taking out the Best Collaboration category for their song "Rain on Me"

Gaga and Grande's “Rain on Me,” lead the nominations with nine, including song of the year and artist of the year for Gaga. Billie Eilish and The Weeknd follow with six nominations, with the latter also being nominated for artist of the year.

Korean Pop band BTS won the Best K-Pop for their hit single "On"

The biggest award of the event, "Video of the Year" sees nominations like Billie Eilish – “everything i wanted”, Eminem ft. Juice WRLD – “Godzilla”, Future ft. Drake – “Life Is Good”, Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande – “Rain On Me”, Taylor Swift – “The Man”, The Weeknd – “Blinding Lights”.
