The Land Transport Authority board is now carrying out its own investigation to see whether more LTA officers may also be involved in corruption cases.
This is after FICAC charged LTA officer William Pawa Tuiono with 6 counts of unauthorised modification of data, 2 counts of abuse of office and 1 count of bribery.
Board chairman Vijay Maharaj says they are working closely with FICAC to address corruption involving LTA employees.
He says the negative actions of certain LTA employees is affecting the perception of the public towards the LTA and they will work to address these issues.
Maharaj says the LTA is changing and part of that change is appointing a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the Authority.
He says a new LTA CEO will be appointed by January next year.
