The Land Transport Authority has inducted 62 new enforcement officers.
LTA Chairman Vijay Maharaj has told them that courtesy and humility must always be upheld when dealing with people.
Maharaj says the whole idea of enforcement is to ensure people abide by the traffic laws of the country and they have make sure the rules are followed.
He says that just because they have the uniform does not mean that they can abuse the power adding that they have to be courteous at all times.
The new officers will undergo a 2 weeks training which will be carried out theoretically and practically before being posted to different districts and regions across the country.
