The Land Transport Authority is calling on bus operators and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers, including those operating omnibuses, minibuses, and carriers, to strictly adhere to the priority seating provisions under the Land Transport (Public Service Vehicle) Regulations 2000, Regulation 20A.

Marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities, LTA Chief Executive Officer Irimaia Rokosawa emphasized the critical role of transport operators and drivers in ensuring inclusivity.

He says these regulations ensure that persons with disabilities and senior citizens are prioritized, making public transport services more accessible and disability-friendly.

Rokosawa says LTA will continue to work closely with stakeholders to enforce these regulations, raising awareness among drivers and operators about their responsibilities.

He stressed that inclusivity in public transportation is essential for fostering equality and improving mobility for all members of the community.
