Land Transport Authority CEO Samuel Simpson will attend a meeting with the Fiji Bus Operators Association and Vodafone to discuss ways of enhancing the e-ticketing system improving its effectiveness and discussing the next logical steps to providing the customers with enhanced functionality.

LTA and the Fiji Bus Operators Association had a meeting last week to discuss important issues concerning the bus industry.

LTA will also facilitate a meeting between the Fiji Bus Operators Association  and the Ministry of Education to discuss the practicalities of school’s transport in relation to the eTransport system.

Simpson says a disturbing trend in bus vandalism was apparent and the Authority would work with Fiji Police to apprehend the culprits.

LTA and the Bus Operators  have agreed to the formation of a Technical Working Group to take forward the discussions on areas of common interest.
