HK 7s: Fijiana 7s secure cup quarter final spot after 21-5 win over Ireland

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side has secured their place in the cup quarter final after defeating Ireland 21-5 this afternoon.

It was a professional performance from Fiji denying Ireland much possession and also capitalised on the errors by Ireland and converted them into points.

Fiji’s Adi Vani Buleki scored two converted tries with Meredani Qoro scoring Fiji’s third try after Ireland was reduced to 6 players following a yellow card to one of their players for a deliberate knock-on.

Ireland managed only one unconverted try to Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe in the second half.

Fiji led 7-0 at halftime.

The women’s Cup quarter finals will kick off at 7.34 tonight.

The Cup semi finals will be at 4.54pm tomorrow and the women’s Cup Final will kick off at 10.13pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will play 5.43pm today in their final pool match.

The Men’s Cup quarter finals will start at 9.09 tonight, the cup semi finals will be at 5.40pm tomorrow and the Men’s Cup Final will kick off at 10.53pm tomorrow.
