Residents from Raiwaqa and surrounding areas will soon have a better facility and environment at the Raiwaqa Health Centre as volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints have been doing maintenance work for the past few weeks.

Sulueti Kama, the Director Communications says they were invited by the Medical Officer-In-Charge of the Health Centre to help paint and do some work on the centre.

She says the volunteers are only available on Saturdays and they have for the past three weeks been water-blasting, cleaning and painting the entire medical centre.

Kama says they renovated the roof today and they still have to make the storage room for the supplies and paint the ceiling.

Kama says the Church provides the material and the members provide the labour.

If you want to assist the Church in repairing and doing maintenance work, you can walk up to the Health Centre on a Saturday and volunteer your services.
