Mesulame Kunavula has signed a one year deal with the New South Wales Waratahs for the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Season.

The blockbusting back rower brings with him a wealth of experience playing for the top 14 French club Brive, and making 23 appearances for Edinburgh in the Pro 14 competitions.

The former Fiji 7s and 15 player will add size and skill to the 2024 Waratahs team.

Kunavula says he wants to thank Waratahs Head Coach, Darren Coleman and the coaching staff for giving him the chance and a new opportunity to play for them.

He adds that being in Sydney will bring him closer to home in Fiji and he is excited to have landed in Sydney.

Coleman is thrilled to have such an exciting player on his roster.

He says while Kunavula has an imposing physical presence, he has a keen sense of his surroundings, an ability to offload the ball, and he will have to train hard and play well to get his share of playing time.
