National soccer team captain Roy Krishna has won the Golden Ball award despite losing in the final of the Indian Super League this morning.
Krishna’s side ATK Mohun Bagan were beaten 2-1 by Mumbai City.
He registered 14 goals and 8 assists in 23 games to be named the Golden Ball winner of the season.

However, Krishna has finished second in the race for the Golden Boot for two years in a row now as he needed one more goal to end the season as the top goal scorer.
Krishna had previously won the New Zealand Football Championship Golden Boot in the 2012-13 season with Waitakere United and the A-League Golden Boot in 2018-19 with Wellington Phoenix.
