These were the comments about the opposition by Minister for Commerce, Faiyaz Koya while supporting the Electoral Amendment Bill.
Koya says the opposition forget this morning they were given a lesson in law 101 from the Attorney General.
He also says the Trade, Standards and Quality Act of 1992 has the same powers.
Koya also called on the opposition not to just jump on the Law Society and Australia bandwagon.
While responding to opposition questions why the amendments are made now after the 2014 and 2018 elections, he says it is evolution.
The Bill has been passed in Parliament.
