Continuous heavy rain has resulted in flooding in Koronivia Road, Wainibokasi Road, Vuci South Road and Ratu Kadavulevu Road in Nausori. Koronivia resident, Prashant Prasad has informed fijivillage News that clogged drains are one of the major reasons for the current flooding.

Prasad says the heavy rain started around 1pm and the water level continues to rise.

He also says the road is only accessible to large vehicles.

He further says they have informed the Nausori Town Council several times regarding the drainage issue; however, they only end up cleaning the drains while the culverts are left unattended.

We are currently trying to talk to Nausori Town Council.
