With the HSBC Madrid 7s coming up next week and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the next 2 months, Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s extended squad member, Kolora Rosi Lomani has set her goal of earning her spot in the final 13-member squad.
The 24-year-old says she knows she has the capabilities that could help the team as they prepare for the Madrid 7s and the Olympic Games.
The Joma, Naceva, Kadavu woman is based in New Zealand and played for the Marist St.Pats Rugby Club and was also part of the Brumbies Women’s squad for the 2024 Super Rugby Women’s competition.
She later joined the Rooster Chicken Fijiana XV extended squad before joining the Fijiana 7s camp last 2 weeks.
Lomani says the transition from 15s to 7s has been tough and as there is not much conditioning done in 15s than the ones they are doing in 7s, but she is enjoying it especially when she has been receiving huge support from her teammates.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s and the Fiji Men’s 7s left our shores last Saturday for the HSBC Madrid 7s that will kick off next Friday.
