Vanessa Kilner is the new Chief Executive Officer for the Fiji Association of Sports And National Olympic Committee (FASANOC).

FASANOC President Makarita Lenoa says following an extensive search, they are excited to be welcoming Kilner as the new FASANOC CEO.

She says Kilner will play a leading role in driving the future strategic direction of FASANOC through to the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands and beyond.

Kilner says she is honoured and grateful to the FASANOC Board for the opportunity to join the leadership team and build on the great foundation that has already been laid out by some exceptional sports administrators before her.

She says she is delighted to have been appointed to lead FASANOC into a new exciting chapter focusing on athletes and the necessary support systems needed for a step-up performance, including administrative services.

Kilner will take up the CEO position from her previous role as National Sales & Marketing Manager with Fiji Gas Pte Limited.

She has held leadership positions and has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, strategy development and managing teams.

She also has extensive exposure into FASANOC by serving as Vice-President on the Board at three different times and different stages of the development of the organisation.

Kilner was born in Suva and raised in Nadi.

Her early years as an athlete were in the sport of sailing, swimming, triathlon and va’a and her introduction into sports administration was when she became both the Interim Race Director and Venue Manager for va’a at the 2003 Pacific Games held here in Suva.

She also played a very active role during the consultation process with FASANOC member national federations and key stakeholders on the future direction of FASANOC.
