150 villagers of Kavanagasau in Sigatoka are now taking shelter at Nabitu Primary School.
A resident Abhay Sharma said Kavanagasau road is closed and the junction of Nabitu road has been washed away.
Sigatoka Police said they are evacuating villagers this hour.
They are advising people living in low-lying areas to move to high ground.
Meanwhile, 30 houses in Vunikavika settlement in Nayawa settlement are flooded.
50 houses in Barara settlement along Valley Road have also been affected by flood waters.
A resident in Barara, Kamlesh Chand said they are moving to higher ground as flood waters are rising.
Many areas in Sigatoka have no electricity.
