Melbourne Storm star Tui Kamikamica will take his plea today after being charged with a Grade 2 dangerous contact.
Kamikamica has been cited for a shoulder charge on Dragons rookie Jayden Sullivan and is facing a one-week ban if he takes an early guilty plea, or a two-week suspension if he fights the charges and loses.
Meanwhile, teammate Max King will also take his plea today after being charged for a "hip-drop" tackle on Dragons forward Blake Lawrie in Sunday night’s 30-22 loss.
The potential loss of both forwards looms as a blow before Saturday's finals grudge match with Parramatta with Dale Finucane understood to be sidelined for another week due to a calf injury. The Storm will meet the Eels at 9.50pm Saturday.
In other Week 1 finals this week, the Panthers meet the Roosters at 9.50pm Friday, the Raiders meet the Sharks at 7.40pm Saturday, and the Rabbitohs meet the Knights at 5.50pm Sunday.
