The Office of the DPP will have three witnesses in the case of Josua Werelagi accused of using a girl for sex work.

They have also asked today for a two weeks trial where bulk of the evidence will come from the victim and investigating officer.

Werelagi appeared before Justice Aruna Aluthge today.

He is charged with 3 counts of domestic trafficking in children and one count of aggravated sexual servitude and has been further remanded in custody.

It is alleged that between 18th to 22nd July 2015, he threatened or forced a 15 year old girl to enter into or remain in sexual servitude.

It is also alleged that between 18th to 20th July 2015, he facilitated the transportation of a 15 year old girl from Nausori to Rewa Street in Suva, with the intent that the girl will be used to provide sexual services.

The case has been adjourned to 20th May this year.
