There weren't many ways to stop a rampaging Jonah Lomu, but ripping his shorts off him was at least a decent feat.
Now, for half a million dollars, someone can own the autographed pair that the legendary All Blacks winger had ripped off him in the inaugural Super 12 final, with their purchase to make a sizeable contribution to charity.
40-year-old Lomu, who died in 2015 from a heart attack associated with his kidney condition, scored one of six tries for the Blues in their 45-21 win over the Natal Sharks in the 1996 decider at Eden Park.
During the second half of that match had his shorts torn off by opposing first five-eighth Henry Honiball.
