Fiji Bati star Jayson Bukuya has decided to retire from rugby league, effective immediately.
Bukuya played 11 Test matches for Fiji, including appearances at the 2008 and 2013 World Cups.
He also played 168 matches for the Sharks and 18 for the Warriors during a single season away from Cronulla in 2014.
He made his NRL debut with the Sharks in 2008.
The 31-year-old back-rower, who played in Cronulla's 2016 grand final win, made the decision to retire before the NRL returned from its COVID-19-enforced hiatus after earlier deciding this would be his final season.
