Former rugby league player Jarryd Hayne will not face a fourth trial over allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in her Newcastle home in 2018.
The 36-year-old had his convictions quashed on appeal earlier this month, and was released from prison after having been granted bail.
He was found guilty in May last year, the third time he had been tried over the incident, and the second time he had been found guilty.
The NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says it had reached its determination after "having carefully considered the many competing factors" in relation to the public interest in the case.
They say the decision was made in accordance with the Prosecution Guidelines.
The NSW ODPP says as the reasons for the decision are legally privileged, they will not be disclosed and the ODPP will not comment further.
