There is no camp situation for the contracted players of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua as they have to report to work most days at the Drua base in Nadi at 6am and work as a rugby player until about 3pm everyday.
Fijian Drua Men Head Coach, Glen Jackson has revealed this, and says Drua’s Head of Commercial and Marketing, Shane Hussein has done an amazing job by securing the Fiji Airways land for the Drua facility.
As a former Chiefs player, Jackson says he has seen what they have achieved in 36 years, and it is amazing for the Drua on what they have achieved in about 2 years at home.
He says the players and coaches have had to leave their families to be in Nadi for work, and it is work but it does not feel like work.
Jackson says the players know they are in a professional outfit, and they are developing both the men’s and women’s team based on the team values and principles.
