Former Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Simon Raiwalui has congratulated former Flying Fijians assistant coach Glen Jackson on his appointment as the new Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach and says Jackson is the right man for the job.
Jackson, who was the assistant to Raiwalui as the Flying Fijians coach to the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, was announced as the new Drua head coach yesterday after outgoing coach Mick Byrne was promoted to be the new coach for the Flying Fijians.
In a post on social media, Raiwalui says Jackson has a great rugby mind and is an even better people person.
He says he believes Jackson will do a great job with the Drua.
Meanwhile, the Drua will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm this Sunday in Dunedin in round 14 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Competition. In other matches this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm Saturday.
