Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Glen Jackson is impressed with the work rate of 22-year-old Isoa Tuwai and is looking forward to what the young player can do during the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
While speaking highly of Tuwai’s performance last weekend against the Crusaders, Jackson says Tuwai was not overawed playing a highly professional team such as the Crusaders as he went out and did the hard work.
He says the 22-year-old is energetic and hardworking, and he will be one of the players to watch this week.
Tuwai was awarded the Tropik Wood Top Tackler award, making 11 tackles against the Crusaders and was also named the fijivillage Fan Player of the Match.
Tuwai has been selected in the starting 15 this week against the Hurricanes and will again partner with Joseva Tamani in the flanker position.
The Drua will face the Highlanders at 7.05pm tomorrow at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.
In other matches, the Hurricanes will take on the Crusaders at 7.05 tonight, the Waratahs will take on the Chiefs at 9.35 tonight, the Blues will host Moana Pasifika at 4.35pm tomorrow, and the Reds will play the Brumbies at 9.35pm tomorrow.
