It will be a memorable moment for Waratahs backrower Jack Dempsey when they face the Crusaders in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman this afternoon as he will be playing his 50th match for the hosting team.
Dempsey has been named to start at openside flanker teaming up with Lachlan Swinton and Will Harris in the back row.
Wallabies halfback Jake Gordon will team up with Ben Donaldson in the halves while Lalakai Foketi and Izaia Perese are in the midfield position.
Other players included in the Waratahs are Angus Bell, Jeremy Williams, Jack Maddocks, Will Harrison, Darcy Breen, Jack Grant and Mark Nawaqanitawase.
In last night’s result, the Hurricanes thrashed the Force 43-6.
The Waratahs will face the Crusaders at 5.05 this afternoon.
In other matches, the Blues will play the Brumbies at 7.15 tonight, the Reds will take on the Chiefs at 9.45 tonight and the Highlanders will play the Rebels at 5pm tomorrow.
