JICA assists NFA

Flood Rescue Equipments worth $8000 was today handed to National Fire Authority which is expected to assist NFA during natural disasters such as flood and cyclones.

Acting Chief Fire Officer Aseri Radrodro said JICA handed the equipments to NFA this morning consisting of Life jackets, rubber boat, rescue boat, ropes and throw bags.

Radrodro said during disasters fire fighters are often involved in situations which demands the best resources and proper equipments and training are needed so that fire fighters are able to carry out their operations safely.
