The CEO of Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission Joel Abraham says it is a good sign as consumers are now shifting from the culture of silence.
Abraham says people are now more aware of their rights as consumers and this gives them the drive to want to speak out.

Abraham says there are a lot of challenges that they face which includes consumers not wanting to give statements and not wanting to lodge complaints.
He says some consumers do not even want to come to court when the matter has been taken up.
