England came from behind to escape with a 27-24 win over Italy in their Six Nations clash this morning.
Italy took an early 10-0 lead in the first 12 minutes before England came back with 8 points through a penalty and a try to close the gap.
Italy extended their lead to 17-8 through a converted try before England replied with two penalty kicks before halftime.
The home side held a slight 17-14 lead at halftime.
England started their comeback in the second half scoring 13 points through a converted try and two penalty kicks to lead 27-17.
Italy did not give up as they scored a consolation try after the full-time hooter sounded to close the gap.
In the other Six Nations matches, Scotland edged Wales 27-26 while Ireland outclassed France 38-17.
