It will be an unforgettable Christmas for Swire Shipping Fijian Drua outside back Inia Tabuavou this year as he will get to spend it with his family, after spending most of his Christmas overseas while playing for overseas clubs.
Speaking to fijivillage News, the 22-year-old says this Christmas and New Year will be a good opportunity for him to spend more time with families and friends at home.
He says joining the Fijian Drua for the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby season is a blessing as he always watched the games growing up in Lautoka.
Tabuavou adds that he hopes to adapt well to the type of rugby in the Super Rugby Pacific competition after playing for the Racing 92 side in the French Top 14 competition.
When asked about what he expects if chosen to play in a home game, Tabuavou says he is looking forward to the crazy Fijian Drua fans but not the heat.
The Fijian Drua’s opening match next season will be at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva where they will host the Brumbies at 3.35pm on the 15th of February, 2025.
