The General Secretary of FijiFirst Party Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has told the people of Koronivia, Nakaikogo and Lokia that it is unfortunate that a lot of political parties are now offering sweetness.
While speaking to around 80 people at Nakaikogo Primary School Hall in Nausori last night, Sayed-Khaiyum told the people that these political parties do not want people to think long term but focus on short term.
He says one of these policies is $5 national minimum wage rate offered by the National Federation Party.
Sayed-Khaiyum told the people that these politicians are playing games with them.
He said the $5 national minimum wage rate will cause hyper inflation as price of goods and services will go up.
Sayed-Khaiyum also stated that he was surprised and astounded by NFP leader, Professor Biman Prasad's revelation that they will zero rate VAT on a number of items.
He says government will directly lose $500 million as a result of this and with the removal of some other taxes as stated by the NFP.
When questioned by a resident of Koronivia as to when FijiFirst will release its manifesto, Sayed Khaiyum said it will be done soon.
