Blues coach Vern Cotter has described the result against the Crusaders in round 7 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific as disappointing and says they are hating it.
The former Flying Fijians coach says it was another game at home that they have not put in a performance and he is more worried about the performances going forward.
The Blues registered their 5th loss of the season, after their 42-19 drubbing from the Crusaders over the weekend.
Cotter says they needed to get the win, and looking at their performance against the Crusaders, he thinks the game gets constructed and gets built, and he does not think they were able to build it through set pieces and just simple things like catching high balls.
He says he thought they seemed a little lethargic in and around their reactions and were not reacting as quickly as they could have been.
Cotter says he believes they were not connected enough and they seem to use the word unravel.
He adds it is not all bad, but the game was, and it was a rough day, and there’s time to bounce back from it.
The Blues will be on a bye this week and will return next Saturday to play the Hurricanes at 6.05pm in Auckland.
Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will also be on a bye this week and will return next Saturday where they will take on the Crusaders at 3.35pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
In the matches this week, the Hurricanes will host the Waratahs at 6.05pm Friday, the Brumbies will take on the Highlanders at 8.35pm Friday, the Crusaders will play Moana Pasifika at 6.05pm Saturday and the Reds will play the Force at 8.35pm Saturday.
