Is Rabuka's planned proposed party - People’s Alliance?

It is being suggested on the official facebook page of former Prime Minister and former Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka that he is planning to form a proposed political party, People’s Alliance.

It says the planned proposed People’s Alliance implies unity, cross-race co-operation and also brings back to the people of Fiji the name that took us through independent negotiations through the first 17 years of independence.

We will be speaking to Rabuka this afternoon.

Earlier this month, Rabuka confirmed he was working with Colonel Sakiusa Raivoce and Colonel Mataiasi Lomaloma to form a new party.

Rabuka said he is focusing on the setting up of a party which would be similar to the former SVT that he headed in the 1990s.
