The Reds will field their strongest side of the season against the Brumbies tonight with Wallabies winger Digby Ioane returning for the derby.
Ioane has recovered from a knee injury and replaces Dom Shipperley in the run on side.
The winner of the clash will take the competition lead at the midway point of the season while the victor will also claim the Rod Macqueen Cup after the Brumbies won their first-round encounter 24-6.
The match kicks off at 9.40pm. Meanwhile, at 7.35pm the Crusaders will play the Highlanders.
In last night’s matches, the Chiefs suffered back-to-back losses as they went down to the Waratahs 25-20.
In another match the Hurricanes beat the Western Force 22-16.
