Investigations are being intensified into the death of a Japanese national whose body was found in a mangrove swamp at Wailoaloa last Monday.
27 year old Mami Nakamura was last seen leaving the Free Bird Institute on August 31st at 2pm telling her friends that she was headed for a party at Wailoaloa.
Nakamura’s family who arrived from Japan cremated her body last Friday.
However, Police Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua said police will not rest there and her file will not be closed until her death is thoroughly investigated and determinations made.
A post mortem on Nakamura could not establish the cause of death because of the advanced stage of decomposition her body was in.
However, specimens have been collected for further analysis.
