Invest in your children and use education as a way out of poverty.
This has been highlighted by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Tabuya while officiating at the prefects induction and reopening of the school kitchen at Nailagotabua District School.
Tabuya says the greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things, but one who gets others to do them.
Tabuya encouraged students to continue supporting the school prefects in carrying out their duties as it is vital and thanked the parents and teachers for their hard work and for making education a priority in their children’s lives.
She says parents, guardians, and teachers are the most important piece of the puzzle in children's lives as their teaching and proper guidance help shape these children to be better citizens of the country.
The Minister further says students must always listen attentively to their teachers and abide by the school rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, School Headboy Apisai Dredreyaca says he looks forward to carrying out his duties to the best of his abilities.
