Australian High Commissioner to Fiji James Batley said the interim government is shooting itself in the foot after the deportation of Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah.
Speaking to the ABC Radio earlier this week, Batley said that he believes Hannah's deportation and that of Fiji Sun Publisher Russel Hunter is causing uncertainty especially within the business community.
He said fundamentally such moves underline the interim government's intolerance to criticism.
