Installation of Tui Vuda to observe traditional protocol

Traditional protocol will be followed by the Vanua of Vuda in relation to the installation of the Tui Vuda.

Following the late former President and Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilo's passing away, the Government announced that Ratu Iloilo be laid to rest next Thursday at the chiefly burial ground in Viseisei, Vuda.

Taukei Sawaieke, Ratu Tevita Momoedonu in an earlier interview highlighted that straight after the chiefly burial of the late Tui Vuda on Thursday, the Vanua of Vuda will install the new Tui Vuda on Friday.

Momoedonu said this protocol is a norm in the Vanua of Vuda.

It is understood that all the traditional activities to remember the late Tui Vuda and the new installed Tui Vuda is expected to run simultaneously for the next five days.
