Indian High Commission in Fiji celebrates 73rd Republic Day of India

The High Commission of India in Suva celebrated the 73rd Republic Day of India this morning.

The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by High Commissioner Palaniswamy Subramanyan Karthigeyan followed by the National Anthem of India.

Karthigeyan then read out excerpts from the address of President of India to the nation on the eve of Republic Day.

The High Commissioner also underlined the special relations between India and Fiji and also other Pacific Island Countries and stated that it is a matter of great satisfaction to see the relations growing from strength to strength despite the pandemic related challenges.

He urged all stakeholders to contribute wholeheartedly to further strengthen the relation and take it to greater heights.
