India secured a convincing seven-wicket win over England in the first Men’s International Twenty20 match in Kolkata.
Chasing a modest target of 133, India sealed the game with 43 balls to spare.
Abhishekh made an explosive 79 off 34 balls to lead the chase.
England, batting first, struggled to post a competitive score and were bowled out for 132 in 20 overs.
Jos Buttler top-scored with 68 off 44 balls, while Varun Chakravarthy impressed with figures of 3-23.
India now lead the series 1-0.
The second match will take place in Chennai this Saturday at 12:30 am.
