There has been an increase in the price of fireworks this year due to high freight charges, high inflation and less manufacturing.
This has been highlighted by the General Manager for Mahesh Syndicate, Vinay Kumar who says that there cannot be any comparisons made on the sale of firecrackers as due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was hardly any importation of any fireworks last year.
He says because of the inflation, high freight charges and increase in the cost of living this year, people are spending more money on essential goods such as food items and also not much firecrackers were manufactured or imported due to lockdowns in China.
Kumar wishes everyone a happy and safe Diwali and urges people to read instructions well while using fireworks.
