There is an increase in the number of students who have passed and obtained quality marks of 250 and above in the Fiji Seventh Form Exams (FSFE).
Education Minister Filipe Bole said when results were released this week, they noted at 3.1% increase in the number of students that passed and had 250 marks and above.
He said faced with the challenge of having to retire more than 800 teachers in April last year, the strategies introduced by the Ministry to maintain quality education has been positive.
He added they managed to work towards a 10% reduction in the workforce which meant not replacing some of the teachers who went into retirement and at the same time worked on strategies to uphold the quality of service delivery.
