An improvement notice has been given to Carpenters Fiji Limited, the parent company for MHCC after water was pouring out of the ceiling over the weekend.

Videos of the incident widely circulated on facebook shows water pouring out of the ceiling in front of the elevator on the second floor.

Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations, Agni Deo Singh confirms to fijivillage News that an inspection was done on Monday after the incident was highlighted to him.

He says the inspection has noted that a gutter had given in during the heavy downpour on Saturday.

Singh says they will be inspected again on the due date.

fijivillage News has sent questions to Carpenters Fiji Director Daniel Whippy. He is yet to respond to our questions.
