I’m ready to rumble.
These are the words of former Heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua as he prepares for his IBF Heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois this Sunday.
Joshua has the opportunity to join legends Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko as a three-time champion.
During their news conference, Joshua was asked about the confrontation in June when he felt disrespected by Dubois and threatened to throw a chair across the champion's face.
Joshua replied that people should never let anyone take an inch because they will end up taking a mile.
Dubois replied with a sorry.
Joshua lost his belt to Usyk in 2021 and was defeated by the Ukrainian in the rematch the following year. He has since worked his way back to the mandatory challenger position with four dominant wins.
Joshua will take on Dubois for the vacant IBF heavyweight title in front of a reported post-war British record crowd of 96,000 at Wembley Stadium this Sunday.
The fight program will start at 3am.
