Swire Shipping Fijian Drua co-captain and hooker Tevita Ikanivere has been voted the fijivillage Drua Fan Player of the Match after an impressive performance in their 28-19 win over the Reds last Saturday in round 13 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Ikanivere accumulated 51.5 percent of the total votes received ahead of flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula and centre Iosefo Masi who were also nominated.
Ravula collected 28.8 percent of the total votes while Masi received 19.7 percent.
Ikanivere scored two tries in the match and ran a total of 38 metres in 12 carries, beating 5 defenders and having 1 clean line break.
In defence, the 24-year-old made a total of 14 tackles, completing 11 of them and missing only 3.
Meanwhile, the Drua will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm this Sunday in Dunedin in a must-win match to maintain their spot in the top 8 of the overall Super Rugby Pacific points table and a chance to move up to 7th place.
In other matches this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm Saturday.
