ISS to tackle bullying in school

“Everyone deserves respect.”

Those were the words of Jone Kauvesi the student representative of International School Suva sharing their theme titled “Bullying in School” for their performance at next month’s Tadra Kahani with Connect.

Kauvesi said that bullying is one of the common issues that many student face in school and students should be taught to respect everyone.


According to the survey called “Global School Based Student Health Survey on Fiji 2010”, boys are the most targeted in schools by bullies.

The survey showed that an average of 763 boys were bullied, while a total of 649 girls responded positively to the question of bullying.

The 14 schools that will be taking part:

In the senior division, Dilkusha Methodist School, Suva Grammar School, International School Suva, Cathedral Secondary School, Marist Champagnant Institute, Dudley High School, LDS College, Lomary Secondary School, Blue Light Fiji and Ratu Kadavulevu School.

In the Junior Division Rishikul Primary School, International School Suva, International School Nadi and Dudley Intermediate School. 
 
Tadra Kahani will be held at the Vodafone Arena on the 16th of next month.
