The Managing Director of IROK Realtors is concerned about the large amount of rubbish collected from the Suva Point foreshore within four hours.
Anand Goundar says 15 people had engaged in cleaning up the foreshore as part of their corporate social responsibility and the amount of rubbish they have collected is concerning.
He says they have collected about 40 bags of rubbish from 7am to 11am today, and this was mostly plastic containers and plastic bottles.
He adds some people are irresponsible to the extent that they even dumped an old refrigerator and tyres along the foreshore.
Goundar is urging people to be responsible and join hands in cleaning the environment.
He says they will be doing more cleanup campaigns in the future.
