Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says he wants to ensure officers are well trained and equipped with the necessary knowledge to be able to face any difficult situation.
Tudravu highlighted this while speaking at the Protective Motor Vehicle Tactics and Technical Procedures Course at the Military Training site at Lololo, Lautoka.
Six members of the Fiji Police Force graduated from the three weeks training.
Tudravu says Police are trained to resolve conflict and have recently established footprints in new mission areas as leaders.
He says Fiji has a proud reputation and standing regionally and for the Fiji Police to be given the opportunity to undertake this United Nations Standard training considering the evolving peacekeeping landscape, is appreciated.
Tudravu says they look forward to future engagements and training alongside each other not only to enhance their capabilities on the peacekeeping front but enhance engagement in the Pacific region to support humanitarian assistance and disaster response capability.
