Olympic gold medalist Aminiasi Tuimaba says he used to travel 3 hours after every 15s training session to train for 7s rugby as he was still aiming to be a part of the Fiji 7s team to the Olympics.
He says he was a bit scared joining the team in the Oceania 7s in Australia but his focus was how he could better himself in the 7s arena after playing 15s rugby in France.
Tuimaba who currently plays with French Top 14 club Pau says despite switching to 15s last year, playing in the Tokyo Olympics was always on his mind.
The 26-year-old says he cannot wait to finish quarantine and meet his family again because he will have to return to France soon.
The National 7s team will complete their 14-day quarantine at the end of the week.
