About 9 months ago I set my phone lock screen to be the Eiffel Tower.

Fiji Water Flying Fijians hooker, Tevita Ikanivere highlighted this in a tweet after the team was officially welcomed in Bordeaux.

Ikanivere says setting the phone lock screen to be the Eiffel Tower helped him visualise his goal of making the Fiji team to play in the 2023 RWC in France.

At the official welcoming the team had a Rugby World Cup Capping Ceremony where the players each received a World Cup cap and a commemorative medal.

Ikanivere says he is thankful for God’s blessings and guidance.

He adds he still has not seen the Eiffel Tower with his own eyes.

Fiji face Wales in their first RWC game at 7am next Monday.

The RWC kicks off this Saturday with hosts France playing New Zealand at 7.15am in Paris.
